Lost or Found a Pet?

Email adoptions@vida4animals.org if you have lost your pet. Attach photos and a description! You may also visit us in-person to post up flyers and search. Take these steps to find your pet:

  1. Post on Facebook, Nextdoor, Ring, PawBoost, and make flyers to post where they were lost.

  2. Leave food bowl outside and a litter box if you lost a cat so they can find their scent.

  3. Contact the local Animal Control of your city or surrounding cities to check if they have picked up your pet.

  4. Check LA County Animal Care website, select the location(s) closest to you, and check daily for your pet. Visit them in person. Baldwin Park Animal Control Center and Inland Valley Humane Society are nearby shelters to check for your pet.

  5. Please microchip your pet to prevent future incidents ($35 at our low-cost clinic), and make sure to register your chip. If your pet is chipped, contact your microchip registration agency to notify them that your pet has been lost.

Found an Animal?

  1. Call your local Animal Control for your city to report a found animal. We cannot intake strays directly from the public.

  2. Post on Facebook, Craigslist, Next-door, Ring, and Pawboost, and check Pawboost for any lost pets that look like the animal that you found.

  3. Bring them to a veterinarian or a shelter to scan for a microchip - they may have contact info associated with them already!

Abandoned Animals
If you are sure that an animal has been abandoned, please reach out to us at adoptions@vida4animals.org with details like circumstances in which they were found, size, age/sex if known, etc. and be sure to include photos of the animal. We can assist in situations on a case-by-case basis.

Found Kittens
If you found kittens, please reach out to kimchenvidarescue@gmail.com with photos of the kittens and a description of the situation. We can provide assistance or direct you to other resources depending on the situation and whether we have the space and resources. If you can foster them until adoption (when they reach 2 months old), we can provide supplies and medical care.
