Adopting a Dog in Costa Mesa: What to Consider
Before adopting a dog, consider your daily schedule, living arrangements, and ability to provide long-term care.
Costa Mesa residents should think about factors such as:
Housing: Confirm that your apartment, condominium, or rental home permits dogs and check any applicable restrictions.
Exercise: Consider how much daily walking, enrichment, and activity you can realistically provide.
Household compatibility: Think about children, existing pets, and the temperament of the dog you're considering.
Long-term commitment: Plan for veterinary care, training, food, and other ongoing expenses.
Choosing a dog whose needs fit your lifestyle can help create a successful and lasting adoption.
