In Honor of Vanessa, Judith, and Gypsy.

Thank you for contributing to our donation fund here at Volunteers in Defense of Animals in honor of Vanessa and Judith’s union and Gypsy, adopted on October 1, 2020 (previously named Lulu with us!).

Our mission is to end the suffering and homelessness of animals. We rescue animals from the streets, local surrenders, local rescues, and from the streets of Mexico and Guatemala. These animals are often incredibly well-suited to be pets but find themselves in unlucky situations or have never seen what a sweet, pampered life can be like. We hope to positively transform the lives of both the animals and the people that find love, connection, and comfort in their furry family members.

A letter of thanks to our Gypsy: 

Gypsy you teach us such important lessons for life everyday.  You are resilient, but kind and forgiving to a world that has dealt you the worst cards imaginable. You had to forage for scraps in actual trash to make meals for you and your pups your whole life, but now we promise to keep you safe and give you all the treats and toys you can handle! Earning your trust, heart, and respect has been a beyond rewarding experience (albeit a lot of patience and work too!). You never got a chance to be a puppy in your past, but now you'll be our FURever puppy.  We admire your bravery and confidence, your intelligent + curious Gypsy + soul, your zen nature, the way you appreciate watching the sunset and tv like a human, and your super silly playfulness.  You won us over since the day we met, and our hearts have made a permanent home for you.
